Wilma J. Gray age 86, of Piqua, OH passed away at 6:50 AM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Ayden Health Care of Piqua. She was born in Darke County on August 8, 1935 to the late Hugh and Opal W. (McGariety) Wogaman. She married Roy A. Gray in Bradford, OH on September 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2003.
Wilma is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Glen and Debby Gray, Troy, Jeff and Diannia Gray, Piqua and Scott and Amanda Gray, Russia, OH; one daughter and son-in-law: Diana and Gary Phipps, Sandusky, OH; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother: Dennis Wogaman.
Wilma was a member of Piqua Church of the Brethren and The YWCA Ladies Club. She was also involved in the Masonic Temple Scottish Rite, due to her husband, Roy. She worked at UVJVS for 20 years as a cook and also in other capacities before retiring in 1998. Wilma enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and ballroom dancing. She also really enjoyed being outdoors, making floral arrangements, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from 10:00 AM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with Pastor Larry Lutz officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the funeral home.
