A blacksmith for 35 years, a trade he learned on a ranch in CO, but perfected in Angel's Camp (Calavaras), CA, where he had his own shop. Mr. Harry was one of several blacksmiths chosen by Studebaker to weld and assemble their coaches. He was listed as "Engineer - Gold Mine" on the 1910 census.
He moved to Mina in 1915 for health reasons. Here he was known as "Silkhat Harry", and had six silver claims. He was Vice-President of the Mariettta Mineral Co in Mina where he died in 1932.
Mr Harry was quite active in the affairs of the Democratic party of Mineral, Nye & Esmeralda counties.
