Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was a resident here since 1979. Mr. Bazela served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a retired machinist for AMTRAK, Wilmington, DE.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; two sons, Sigmund , J . Jr. of Wayne, PA and William B. of Claymont, DE; five daughters: Carolyn Mongillo of Claymont, DE, Barbara Bateman of Elkton, MD, Virginia Beck of Elkton, MD, Frances Bazela Katsuura of Berkeley, CA, and Susan Bazela of El Sobrante, CA; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sophia Carolyn Jones and Helen Mack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 12 noon at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave., Villas, where friends may call after 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
