GEORGE W. STONE
George Washington Stone, aged 66 years and 6 days, died suddenly of a heart attack, at his home in Spring township, on Tuesday, April 16, 1940, while at the dinner table.
The deceased was a son of Peter and Elizabeth Comp Stone and was born at the home where he died and where his entire life was spent.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Florence Stewart Stone ; two sons, Melvin Stone, New Bloomfield, R. D., and Charles Stone, at home ; two daughters, Elizabeth, Mrs. James McCoy, Blain, R. D., and Cynthia, Mrs. Herman Swartz, Landisburg; seven grandchildren and a sister, Ellen, Mrs. James Sloop, Enola.
Funeral services will be held at the home of his son, Melvin Stone, Friday at 2 p. m., Rev. George Albright, Newport, officiating, and burial will be made in the Mt. Zion Lutheran cemetery (sic), Spring township.
