Ending her career as the director of surgical services at University Medical Center. After retiring Starr found her true love, that of ice skating. She was a member of the Senior Skating Club and worked for the Las Vegas Sports Park where she loved to help the little ones skate.
Starr is survived by her daughters, John'ette (Bart) Roberts, Mindy (Mark) Poole; daughter-in-law, Sherry Achuff; and six grandchildren, Chloe, Brian and Bailey Roberts, Jordan and Jared Poole and Tara Achuff. Starr was preceded in death by one son, Michael S. Achuff.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
