Friday Evening, August 27, 1948 Daily Dispatch, Moline, Illinois Harry G. Miller, 78, of 913 Sixteenth Street, Moline, died at 7 this morning in Moline Public hospital. He was taken to the hospital at 9 last night after suffering a heart attack at home.
Mr. Miller was a manager of Western Union offices, his last post being in Washington, Iowa. He retired eight years ago after 55 years with the telegraph company, and he came to Moline three years ago (1945).
Mr. Miller was born Aug. 8, 1870, in Attica, Indiana. He married Goldie Scott, Oct. 9, 1893, (Should be 1895) in Sterling, Illinois.
He was a member of Modern Woodmen of America and the Masonic lodge of Iowa City, and was past watchman-Shepard of the White Shrine in Iowa City. He was a member of the First Congregational church in Iowa City and attended the First Congregational church in Moline.
Surviving are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. C. A. Galley of Moline, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to Esterdahl mortuary. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow

Burial will be in Sterling cemetery, Sterling, Illinois
