Janie D. Buster, 74, of the Caviness community, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007, at Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Mesquite.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ with Dr. Jimmye Newman and Patrick Cannon officiating. Burial follows in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 20, 1933, in Enloe, to Wesley D. and Goldie Smart Stanley. She attended Enloe schools and graduated from Cooper High School. She married David Buster on June 4, 1949, in Cooper. She was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ where she was a volunteer with the Latch Key Program.

She was involved in many community activities and was a 4-H leader in Caviness.

She was affectionately referred to as "Mimi" by her family, and her family was her life. She enjoyed doing for her family and loved her church and her church family with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Walter Stanley.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Buster; four children, Peggy Robinson and husband, Bill, Patti Buster, Mark Buster and Judy Daughtrey and husband, Sonny, all of Caviness; 13 grandchildren, Davy, Judd and Josh Bivens, Wesley Buster, Cody Sanders, Shelly Pope, Marcie Termin, Amber, Kimberly, Rance and Reese Buster, Cassidy Emeyabbi and Bailee Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Huie and husband, Bill, of Richardson; two brothers, Vernon Stanley and wife, Sandra, of Tyler and Dr. William A. Stanley and wife, Renee, of Kingwood; her dear friend and personal caregiver, Opal Lester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Davy, Judd and Josh Bivens, Wesley Buster, Cody Sanders, Rance and Reese Buster, and Rodney Beshirs. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Drake, Neil Collard, Leo Parsons and Doug Owens.
