1953 – 2021

Jose Nelson Guzman went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2021 in Bedford, Texas. Jose was born on July 30, 1953 in El Salvador.

Jose got married to his long-time love, Maria on June 27, 1990 who sadly passed away in June of 2017. He was hilarious and loving, as well as an amazing father to his son, Walter and daughter, Esmeralda. Some of his favorite things to do in his free time was listening to 70s-90s music and watching soccer games.

One of Jose’s proudest accomplishments was being a father. He always wanted children and considered himself lucky enough to have one boy and one girl. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to always work hard. Jose was very loved at his job and was remarkably close with many of his coworkers. He worked for Sam’s club in Plano for over 25 years. He was dedicated to his work and cared about people he worked with.

He is survived by his children, Walter, and Esmeralda, as well as his grandchildren, Walter Jr., Alejandro, Bella, Violet, and Henley.

Jose will always be remembered for being a simple man without many wants and needs outside of the love of his family. He lived an amazingly simple but fulfilling life and is now resting peacefully with our Lord and Savior.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Azleland Cemetery beginning at 9:00AM followed by a graveside service at 10:00AM
