Funeral services for Virgie McDaniel will be held Thurs., Oct. 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment is to follow at the Eufaula Cemetery.
Virgie McDaniel was born April 21,1930 in Wister to Richard Riley Brewer and Dilia A. (Atchley) Brewer. She passed away Mon., Oct. 15 in Tulsa at the age of 77.
Mrs. McDaniel was a loving housewife and a member of the 7 Day Adventist Church in Sallisaw and Wilburton. She and Thomas J. McDaniel were married July 17, 1947 in Alamogordo, New Mexico; he later preceded her in death March 10,1998. Mrs. McDaniel was a devoted Christian who loved her family dearly and always wore a smile.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, Richard Riley and Dilia A. Brewer; two sisters and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her two sons, Joel J. and Linda McDaniel of Poteau and Russell McDaniel of Stilwell; two daughters, Della Colston and husband, Watie Jr., of Stilwell and Nancy Colston and husband, Larry S., of Okemah; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearer will be Robbie McFarland, Ernie Mc-Farland, Jason Colston, Thomas McFarland, Larry Colston, and Russell McDaniel.
Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Brother Loy Fitch.
