AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, July 20, 2007 at her residence, Mrs. Lois Linder Mertins, 76, wife of the late Edwin Carl Mertins, Jr. Mrs. Mertins was a native of Walterboro, S.C. She was a retired office manager with Dr. Gordon Walters and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Family members include her sons, Edwin Carl "Chip" Mertins III and wife Tammy of Thomson, David Brian Mertins of Augusta; daughters, Sharon Black and husband Bill of Buford, Ga., Sandra Mason and husband Miles of Duluth, Ga.; sisters, Harriett Craven of Walterboro, S.C., Shirley Cooper of Walterboro, S.C., Margaret Symynkywicz of Woonsocket, R.I.; and four grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating.
