Sue Ellen McCubbin Mosier was born April 6 1946 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to William and Mary Sue McCubbin.

The family moved to Verdigre, Nebraska in 1951, then to Nelson a year later. She went to Nelson school until 6th grade when they moved to Davenport where she graduated in 1964. She then went on to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital School of Nursing for 2 years where she graduated in 1967 as a registered nurse.
On September 3, 1966 she was married to her high school sweetheart Verlin Mosier. They lived in Hastings for a short time before they moved back to Davenport. In the beginning of August, 1973 they added to their family by adopting a daughter Michelle at the age of 3 weeks.

Sue continued to use her education as a nurse through most of her adult life working for several of the local nursing homes.

When she was no longer using her nursing degree she had several hobbies that kept her occupied. Many will remember her great baking skills especially the famous angel food cake and milky way cake with the wonderful fudgy frosting. Sue also enjoyed doing cross stitch patterns and has many intricate pieces hanging on the walls. She was involved in church groups and the local bridge club for many years. Sue was a loving Mother and Grandmother and always enjoyed our large family meals together.

Sue passed away on January 20, 2021 and is survived by her husband Verlin Mosier of Davenport; brother Chris McCubbin and wife Lynette Alcorn of Austin, TX; daughter Michelle Galaway of Edgar, NE; Grandchildren, Harrison Galaway of Davenport, NE, Foster Galaway of DePauw, IN, Samantha, Claire, Oliver, Peggy Sue and Eli Galaway all of Edgar, NE; Great Grandson Decan Galaway of DePauw, IN, and many other family and close friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
