In 1910, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Mr Wick was a great reader and was an ardent admirer of the late William Jennings Bryan. He was thoughtful of others and always showed a kindness toward children. He was well respected by all who knew him and never a doubt as to his integrity.
"Bill" Wick passed away in his sleep, March 26, 1952 at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 16 days. Those left to survive are two sisters, Grace of Portland, Oregon, Pearl of Pender, Nebraska; 3 brothers, Gus and Charles of Detroit, Michigan and Alvin of Pender, Nebraska. Also many nieces and nephews and a host of loyal friends.
The body was cremated and at his request, the ashes brought to Harlan and sprinkled over the Wick family lot in the Harlan cemetery Wednesday. The two sisters, Grace and Pearl were here for the sprinkling service.
