Obituary:

Lamon E. Collins, 77, of Las Vegas, died Nov. 3, 2005. Prior to his retirement, he owned the Exxon Service Station at Alta and Decatur. At the time of his passing, he was employed with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department Fleet Service. He was preceded in death by the mother of their children, Glorene; and his second wife, Marie Voisin. He is survived by his son, Rod and his wife, Kris, along with their children, Bryan and Lyndsay of Tahoe City, Calif.; son, Randy and grandson, Randy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, LaMon and her son, Chason of Las Vegas; son, Chris of Las Vegas; and daughter, Danee and her husband, David, along with their children, Geoffrey and Christopher Campbell of Malvern, Pa. There will be a visitation at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas. Funeral service and interment is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210.
