Joseph H. Anderson, 73, 1618 Nebraska St., painter, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, 711 Myrtle St. The Rev. Ralph Wallin of St. Luke Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Anderson was born April 23, 1910, in Seneca, Iowa. He was raised at Seneca and lived at Lake City for many years, moving to Sioux City 15 years ago. He was a self-employed painter. He married Mrs. Anderson Sept. 6, 1929, at Swea City, Iowa. She died Jan. 5, 1973, at Lake City, Iowa. Survivors include one son, Thorval of Lake City; one daughter, Marilyn Kenny of Lohrville, Iowa; three brothers, Curt of Ames, Iowa, Leonard and Raymond, both of Mankato, Minn.; four sisters, Blanche Christensen of Luverne, Minn., Inez Stowe of Alexandria, Minn., Hazel Birdwell of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Thelma Olson of Ellsworth, Iowa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
