Mrs. Mary Alice Willard Carter, 85, Anderson County, died Saturday, December 17, 1994 at the home of her son, John Allen Thompson, Frankfort. Born October 6, 1909 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Rosie Dean Parmer Willard. She was the widow of David L. Carter. Survivors include: three sons, James Thompson, Harrodsburg, John Allen Thompson, Frankfort, and Leroy Thompson, Versailles; four brothers, Gilbert, Hank, Edward and Ezra Willard, all of Shelby County; one sister, Tisha McKenney, Elkton, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Thompson, Jr. Services for Mrs. Carter were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with the Rev. Don Wells officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
