Services for Mr. Adam G. Ducote Jr. will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer. Burial will be in the Church Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Ducote, age 74 of Hessmer passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007 in Marksville. He was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, member of the Woodmen of the World, member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Louisiana National Guard Veteran, former owner of Circle J Lumber and a Building Contractor, past president of the Cenla Chapter of the Smileing Sams Campers, former regional supervisor of the HUD program, loving husband, father, grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Guillot Ducote of Hessmer, four daughters, Shirley Landry and husband Jimmy of Hessmer, Nina Guilbeau and husband Pressley of Marksville, Sue Ann Deshotel and husband Daryl of the Bay Hills Community, June D. Bell and husband Robert Bruce Bell of Alexandria, two sisters, Jeannette Courville of Mansura, Barbara Deville of Brouillette, nine grandchildren, Dodie Lachney, Gary Carrier, Daryl Deshotel, Crystal Liberatore, Brandi Dubea, Adam Carrier, Jaime Gaspard, Aprill Laborde, Nicholas Normand, Aaron Normand; eleven great grandchildren, Jonathan, Payton, Kayla, Tristin, Noah, Joshua, Kate, Madison, Annalise, Ava, and Callie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Ducote Sr. & Wife Lela, sister and brother-in-law Beryl & Corey Nilsen and one nephew Scottie Nilsen.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 4 until 10 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 and from 8 a.m. until shortly before time of services Tuesday. A Rosary service will be at 6:30pm Monday.
