Born on May 14, 1932, in Middletown, OH; the daughter of the late Carl John Trent (1900–1980) and Thelma Marie Fordyce Trent (1913–1978); wife of the late Charles Emory Allen, Sr. (1926–2010).
Her family moved to Miami, FL where she met her husband while attending West Little River Baptist Church. The couple married on October 25, 1948, and was blessed with a son and two daughters. They lived in Miami until a job transfer landed them in Stuart, FL in 1982 and they eventually retired in Lawndale.
Survived by her children, Charles Emory "Chuck" Allen, Jr.; daughters, Janet Allen Lerner (Nathan) and Judy Mendez (Frank); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Carol Trent Milhorn and Pamela Trent Hughes.
Also predeceased by her siblings, elder sister, Wilma Jean Trent McFarland (1930-1998); and younger brothers, John Carl Trent (1933–2006) and James Marvin "Jim" Trent (1936-).
Graveside service held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Runyon officiating.
Following the service, the family received friends at Living Hope Christian Fellowship Church, Shelby, NC.
