Martin Verson "Meat" Brake, age 53, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007, at a local hospital. Mr. Brake is preceded in death by his parents—F.C. Sr. and Frances Brake, and his brother—John Proctor Brake, Sr.
Mr. Brake is survived by his daughter—Christy Ann Brake; three brothers—James Edward Brake, F.C. (Katherine) Brake, Jr., and Mayhew Dodson (Elizabeth) Brake; four sisters—Debbie (Rudy) Ordonez, Mary (George) Purvis, Gloria (Willie) Jimenez, all of Milton, FL and Cynthia Brake, of Chattanooga, TN; one grandson—Wesley Martin Brake; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2007, at Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Crain Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton.
