Services for Treila M. Galbreath, 90, of Rockdale will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Thorndale with Rev. Jeremy Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor City Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Galbreath died Monday, June 25, in Cameron Nursing Center in Cameron.

She was born Dec. 17, 1921 in Pratt, Kansas, to Albert Franklin and Maude B. (Franklin) Paris.

Mrs. Galbreath had lived the past 20 years in Rockdale and was previously a longtime resident of Alvin.

She married Neal Galbreath on Jan. 4, 1992, at First Baptist Church in Thorndale.

Mrs. Galbreath was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and greatgreat grandmother.

When she was younger, she worked as a checker for Smith Grocery in Alvin as well as a saleswoman in the women's department of Dillard's Department Store.

Mrs. Galbreath was an avid oil painter.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Thorndale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal, on June 3, 2005; her parents; and five siblings, Lewis Eugene Paris, Lela Turner, Zella Cox, Mary Travis and Morene Christ.

Survivors are a son, Tommy Welch and wife Marilyn of Thorndale; a daughter, Barbara Scroggins and husband Bobby of Thorndale; six grandchildren, Wynona Schwarz, Tommy Welch Jr. and Steve Simpson, all of Thorndale, Rhonda Brown of Pasadena, Tom Simpson and wife Kathy of Robinson and Craig Simpson and wife Cara of New Richmond, Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren, Megan and Dylan Schwarz, Kassie Barron, Mallory Keeling, Cooper Welch, Dacey, Jared, Barrett, Levi, Shelbi and Colbi Simpson; a great-greatgranddaughter, Emma Grace Niemtschk; and a sister, Lorene Webb of Houston.
