Charles Edward Haywood, Sr., 82, was born March 2, 1938 to the late Willie Cammon and Roberta Haywood in Chattanooga, TN. He departed this life on August 17, 2020.

He was a retired employee of the City of Chattanooga Public Works. He was an avid bowler, sports enthusiast and loved all genres of music. He was well loved and respected by many. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Haywood; parents, Willie Cammon and Roberta Haywood; sisters, Goldie Arnold, Patricia Sheperd; brothers, Lebron Carr, Robert Haywood, John Arnold, Eddie Arnold and Russell Arnold.

Survivors include his sons, Charles (Treva) Haywood, Jr., Terry D. (Hiwatha) Haywood and Michael (Karen) Haywood; sisters, Cenerie Ward, Delphine Cammon, Cynthia (Bernard) Scott, Romelda (Glendale) Williams, Brenda Cammon; brothers Jerome Cammon, Rodney (Tiffany) Cammon and Jerry Arnold. His caretaker grandchildren, Markeyda (Thomas) Hubbard, Michael Haywood, Jr. and Makayla Haywood and a host of other relatives.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, August 24th from 2PM to 6PM in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home. Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at a later date in Lakewood Memory Gardens,East.
