Mr. Watson was born December 2, 1938, in Goodwater, Alabama, son of the late Golden William Watson and Clara Mae Heath Watson. A veteran of service in the Army National Guard, he was a retired over-the-road truck driver and was a member of Glenn Baptist Church. He was a talented woodworker and was known to be able to make anything from a piece of wood.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jamie Kelley and the Reverend Michael Watson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
