Robert Lee Trout, 59, Olathe, Kansas, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, in Olathe, Kansas.

He was born July 16, 1948, in Parsons, Kansas, to Raymond L. and Bernidena (Dhooghe) Trout.

He graduated from Galesburg (KS) High School. He attended Parsons Junior College.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1972 and received the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

For many years he was employed as a computer engineer, working for various telephone companies.

His hobbies included working with electronics and carpentry.

Survivors include his former wife, Kathy Trout, Olathe, KS; two step-sons, John and Mark Stone, both of Olathe, KS; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Eugene Beachner, Parsons, KS, and Mary and Frank Diskin, Lee's Summit, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents preceded him in death.

The funeral Mass will be Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons, KS, with the Revs. Jason Borkenhagen and Larry Parker officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas.

Memorials suggested to St. Patrick Church Renovation Fund. These may be left at, or sent to Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, 67357, who is in charge of arrangements.
