Thomas E. Bacchi, 92, of Loves Park, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Born August 17, 1928, in Chicago, the son of Thomas and Annette (Townsend) Bacchi. Graduate of South Shore High School, Chicago, IL. Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Korea and WWII in the Constabulary Police in Fulda Gap, Germany. Tom married the love of his life, Betty R. Boone on May 13, 1950 in Chicago. She predeceased him on April 15, 2008. He worked for Ingersoll Milling Machine Company before his retirement in 1993. Tom built remote-controlled model airplanes and loved classical music and Italian food.
Survived by his daughters, Kathy (Terry) Kemp and Susanne (Jeffrey) Piper; grandchildren, Brooke, Micah, Seth, Rebekah, David, Jason, Raymond, Erick, Krista, and Hannah; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Also predeceased by his daughter, Deb (Ken) Millard.
