Marvin C. Erickson, 76, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Pike Lake died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, in St. Luke's Hospital following a long respiratory disease as a result of lupus.

He was born in Duluth and has lived in Sacramento for the last 47 years. Marvin married Mary Scott on Sept. 4, 1940 in Twig. He is a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was a civilian aircraft inspector for the U.S. Air Force, specializing in the inspection of F-105's and F-111's at McClellon Air Force Base. He retired as a GS-13, in 1980, following 28 years of employment. Marvin's recreational passion was his golf game.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1974; a daughter, Pamela, In 1946; and a brother, Donald R. in 1966; and a sister, Janey Mae Erickson, in 1932. His parents were Emil and Valna Erickson.
