He was a civilian aircraft inspector for the U.S. Air Force, specializing in the inspection of F-105's and F-111's at McClellon Air Force Base. He retired as a GS-13, in 1980, following 28 years of employment. Marvin's recreational passion was his golf game.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1974; a daughter, Pamela, In 1946; and a brother, Donald R. in 1966; and a sister, Janey Mae Erickson, in 1932. His parents were Emil and Valna Erickson.
