Death of F. A Davis.
While his wife and daughter, Miss Cora Davis, were at the General hospital, seriously ill from the ravages of pneumonia, F. A. Davis, aged 41 years, a carpenter for the Missouri, Kansas and Texas railway at the local shops, died at 10:20 o’clock Saturday night at the company hospital, death being due to pneumonia.

Mr. Davis had been a patient at the hospital since last Wednesday since which time he grew worse until the end. Besides his wife and daughter at the General hospital, two young sons of the deceased are ill there, Oscar, aged 8, suffering from a severe cold, and Benjamin, aged 3, now being much improved following an illness with pneumonia.

Two other children are well and are being cared for by relatives. Mr. Davis resided at 1920 South Moniteau avenue and had made his home in Sedalia for many years. The remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of McLaughlin Bros. No arrangements for the funeral have been made. - Sedalia Democrat - February 18, 1917 pg.5
