Patrick Calvert is certified as an Indiana Pioneer arriving in SW Indiana in 1811 and creating his homestead in Knox County, Indiana, now known as Vanderburgh County, Indiana. He left Sevierville, TN as a young man to arrive in Indiana with his wife, Sarah Martin Calvert. Her father, James Martin, Sr was a preacher that arrived in the area in 1808 and founded the Primitive Baptist Church.

Tombstone was damaged during the desecration. His remains were reinterrned at Calvert Chapel, another family cemetery 2 miles from the Calvert Farm Cemetery
