Mrs. Louisa Anna (Schnoor) Habben, daughter of Peter Schnoor and his wife, Marie Torber was born July 24, 1865 in Rehna, Germany. She was batized in infancy in the Lutheran Church in Germany. At the age of nine years she immigrated to this country with her parents and settled in Rock Falls, Il. In May of 1880 she confessed her faith in the Triune God in the Lutheran Church in Rock Falls under the direction of Pastor Reitz. She was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hildreth, NE. In the year 1887 the family moved to a farm south east of Wilcox. Here she met Rolf Habben, whom she married on February 23, 1898. To this union were born three daughters, Veda, Ida and Rossetta. She also mothered Anna, a step-child.

Mr. and Mrs. Habben were able to spend many happy years together. In 1948 they were privaleged to celebrate their golden anniversary of their marriage.

Funeral serives were held from the St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Tuesday, February 6, 1951 with Pastor A. J. Duis in charge. Interment was made in the St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Jurgens, John Borgman, Onne Reil, John Evers, Harry Anderson and John Wittforth.
