Obituary from Waterloo Courier, Feb. 4, 1927:
Mrs. Jessie Gilson, 63, wife of David Gilson, 903 Logan avenue, died at 1 a. m. today in a local hospital after an illness of several months. Prayer services will be conducted in the O'Keefe and Towne chapel at 1 p. m. Sunday after which the body will be taken to Jesup, Ia., where funeral services will be in the Baptist church.
Jessie Storey was born Nov. 35, 1863 at Fairbank. She was married there to David Gilson Dec. 8, 1889. For a time they operated a farm near Hazleton. In 1895 they removed to Jesup, where they remained until 1917, when they came to Waterloo.
Surviving are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Albert Blanchard, 76 Mulberry street: two sisters, Mrs. Emiline Bush, Jesup, and Mrs. Vestalina Bush, Littleton, Ia., and two brothers, Fremont Storey, Fairbank, and Marion Storey, Elbow Lake, Minn. Two daughters, Edith and Mrs. Beulah Sheets, preceded the mother in death.

Per the newspaper funeral announcement posted with this memorial, Jessie was buried in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA. A walk of the cemetery revealed no gravestone for Jessie or her husband David.
