Jill Suzanne Cox of Lincoln, Nebraska
October 13, 1959 - October 4, 2018
Jill Suzanne Cox, 58, of Lincoln was born Oct. 13, 1959 to Charles and Donna (Lundberg) Lindstedt in Rockford, IL. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 4, 2018.

She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1977 and went on to attend Augustana College in Rock Island, IL where she earned a degree in Psychology and Biology.

She was married to Michael Cox on May 31, 1980 at Alpine Lutheran in Rockford, IL. They spent their married life in Iowa and Nebraska, settling in Lincoln where they faithfully served and attended several area churches.

Jill was an outstanding wife, mother, daughter, grandma, sister, and friend to all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Jill was an extraordinary cook who took joy in nourishing her family and anyone who needed a meal. She was exceptionally talented at creating her own recipes, so much so that she was a three time Pillsbury Bake-off finalist and inspired her son to go into a career in the culinary arts.

Always one to seek out those in need of a kind word or deed, Jill knew the background and life story of many employees at the grocery store she frequented. They greeted her with smiles and hugs during every one of her trips. She had extraordinary compassion for anyone in need.

Jill devoted her life to her family. She treasured her grandkids and they deeply loved and cherished her in return. Whether it was a trip to the park or ice cream after school. The time she spent and example she set will live on as her legacy in their lives.

Left behind to honor her life and spread the love she so freely gave is her husband of 38 years, Michael Cox, daughters Rachel Scheel (Chad), Bethany Cox, Faithe Pohlmann (Logan), and son Ben Cox (Elizabeth). Grandchildren Knox, Madeline, and Austin, and countless friends and others impacted by her kindness and blessed by her life.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Rebekah Joy, her parents, her brother, Jeffery Lindstedt, her father-in-law Wendell, and her beloved dogs, Lilleigh and Max

Private family service to be held in the upcoming weeks.
