Frances Fair Clark, daughter of Lonnie Lee Nicks and Victor Malcolm Clark was born in Port Richey, Pasco Co., FL on 9 Dec. 1919. Her grandfather, Robert H. R. Nicks saw to it that she was named for his mother, Frances Fair, wife of James Rinaldo Nicks. H. R. Nicks (as he was known) died in 1928 and her mother in 1930. Several years later she married Archie E. Burnside of Dade City. They were divorced in a short period of time. Her father was Project Supt. of the CCC Camp in Hilliard, Nassau Co. and she met and married George W. Blankenship. In 1948, they divorced, and she married Walter J. Mallett. They moved back to the Port Richey area where she lived out her remaining years. When she died, she was within a mile or so from where she was born. Her lifetime continued pursuit of the local history is illustrated by her tombstone of the State of Florida etched on it with all her ancestors marked by their pioneer locations dating back to 1762.
