Glory spent her young life in Brazoria, Texas and Vinton, Louisiana. She married Ronald in 1959 and moved to Gretna, Louisiana in 1967 where they raised their three daughters. With sons-in-laws and grandchildren, family soon grew. As a devoted wife, she enjoyed cooking and caring for Ronald and her family, and proudly attended her children and grandsons’ activities including sports, performances, and musical concerts.

Glory was a dedicated teacher, working for 28 years and retiring from Jefferson Parish School System. She spent many years as a reading instructor and later years as a recruiter and GED testing agent.

In addition to active participation in church and civic organizations, she enjoyed reading, music, and gardening.

She did some traveling with Ronald, touring Europe, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Mexico.

She particularly enjoyed visiting with family in Louisiana and Texas and holding dear to family and holiday traditions.

Her later years were spent lovingly caring for her family. She once said, “When I leave this Earth. I will travel lightly. My legacy and greatest joys will have been mothering my three daughters and sharing my life with Ronald, our family and friends.”

Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
