1880 - "In Boston we met our neighbor's son Conrad Jacobs, who had deserted from a steamer in NY, and had only been with his uncle, the Methodist preacher Ketels * from Midlum. ( * it was one of the brothers of Keike Jacobs, née Ketels, 1835 -1884, Süderende) "
