Mrs. Fred A. Canon

Mrs. Addah M. Canon, 72, wife of Dr. Fred A. Canon, 22 North Race Street, died at 7:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, 1953, in Mercer Cottage Hospital where she had been a patient for the fast two months.

Born Feb. 15, 1881, in East Fallowfield Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Henry L. and Clara Unger Menold, she was a member of the First Methodist Church.

She was married Dec. 3, 1905, to Dr. Canon, who survives. Also surviving are a niece, Beatrice, wife of MacDonald Hunt, Jamestown, and who was reared in the Canon home; one brother, Henry P. Menold, and two sisters, Mrs. Martha McCarthy and Mrs. Emma Davis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Canon are to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Baird funeral home with Rev. Wendell Minnigh, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Inadvertently omitted from the list of survivors supplied to The Record-Argus Monday in the death of Mrs. Addah M. Canon, 72, of 22 North Race Street, was the name of a niece, Maxine, wife of Carl Seiver, Jamestown. Mrs. Seiver was raised by the Canons.

Funeral services for Mrs. Canon, wife of Dr. Fred A. Canon, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Baird funeral home with Rev. Wendell Minnigh officiating.

Calling hours at the funeral home are from 7 to 9 tonight.
