Irene Ostapenko On June 13, 2018 of Reston, VA. A linguist and musician, Irene Ostapenko taught High School French, wrote a Russian textbook, volunteered at the Better Business Bureau for over twenty years, and sang in the Bach Choir as well as in many Russian Orthodox churches over the years. She was a devoted wife to her husband of over 58 years, Dr. Alexis Ostapenko, who pre-deceased her by almost two years. She was a dedicated mother to her children and grandmother to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Alexander (Barbara) Ostapenko, Nadine (Mikhail) Bolkhovitinov and Peter Ostapenko. Also survived by four grandchildren, Tanya, Mark, Lyuba and Andrew.
