Jean Addison Thibodeaux, age 88, passed peacefully from this Earth June 8. 2018. Born to parents Walter P. and Stella Mae Addison, Martha Jean came into this world June 21, 1929 in the Blackwells Community of Cobb County, Georgia. Jean grew up in Cobb County and spent much of her adult life there. She attended Blackwell School, Marietta High School and Reinhardt College. Sisters Sarah, Carolyn, Reba and brother Joel provided close companionship in the rapidly changing world of the 1930's, 40's and 50's.

Passing from a long and eventful life Jean is survived by children Terri Todd (Grant), David Ellis and Linda Workinger (Vic); six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her sisters Carolyn Orr and Reba Crawford (Tom), and many nieces and nephews. Siblings Sarah and Joel and children, Rodney Jr, Daryl, and Michele Thibodeaux preceded her in death.

In 2004, Jean met Donald Clark at Bethany Methodist Church in Smyrna, where they both attended. That meeting lead to a close, meaningful and lasting relationship which brightened not only their lives but also the lives of countless friends and relatives.

Visitation and the memorial service was held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins, 180 Church Street, Marietta; followed by burial at Mountain View Park Cemetery where Jean rests alongside her boys Daryl and Mychal.
