Charles Town -- NANNIE V. SMALLWOOD, 73, died Friday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Harpers Ferry, the daughter of Clary and Bessie Roderick Brashear.

She was a member of the Trinity Gospel Assembly of God.

She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Harry Russell, Boliver; Mrs. Lester White, Middleway; Mrs. Thelma Dunn, Fairfax, Va.; and Mrs. Mary Watson, Silver Spring, Md.; five sons: Ernest W. Coulter, Charles Town; Leroy M. Coulter, Martinsburg; Edward T. Coulter, Greenbelt, Md.; Stewart T. Smallwood Jr., Fayetteville, NC; and Willis N. Smallwood, Bolivar; four sisters, Stella Epcard, Harpers Ferry, Elvina Myers Millville; Mrs. Tommy Wiley, Shenandoah Junction and Mrs. Marvin Farmer, Shepherdstown; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Trinity Gospel Assembly of God. Burial in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
