Doris Mae Baker, 88, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1929, in Rockford, the daughter of Clarence E. and Frances M. (Shuey) Osberg.

Doris graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1947. She married William Baker on October 22, 1949 in Kirkland, Illinois, and they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage together.

Doris worked for Del Monte Foods for 30 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle and Christ the Rock Church in Rockford.

Doris enjoyed spending time with family and the many wonderful traditions she shared with them over the years.

Survived by: husband, William; son, David (Yvonne) Baker; daughter, Karen Armstrong; grandchildren, Kyle (Melissa), Eric (Tabitha),Claire (Ian), Adrienne (Mark), Jenna (Tim) and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Cian, Kiley, Lily, Finn, Hera, Juno and Lindy; brother, Donald C. (Beverly) Osberg; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by: parents; son, Eugene D. Baker; and brother, Richard Osberg.

Services on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Fred C. Olson Chapel. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
