Son of James and Ruth Dailey, was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Morton; a son, James Thomas Dailey; and sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Chappell Dailey; a daughter, Kathy Elaine Dailey; and a sister, Ruth Grainger. Norman leaves behind three grandchildren he loved dearly, James Matthew Dailey, Kathryn Marie Dailey and Taylor St. John. Also left behind are brother-in-law, Curtis Bailey; and many adored nieces and nephews from both his and Barbara's sisters. Saddened immensely by Norman's passing are his dearest friend, Rick Hamlet with wife, Jenny; his beloved buddy, James Giles; and life-long friends, William and Joan Pemberton. Norman adored the arts and ceramics, designing and building kilns with artists and dear friends, Barbara Mann and Robin Cage, always there for established and struggling artists alike. The family would like to sincerely thank Bruce Carlton of Ridge Baptist Church for his selfless and loving commitment to helping us in times of need. Thank you to others for their love and care, including Pam Jackson and Kathleen St. John. The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
