Joseph was born on Aug 4, 1946 in South Bend to Walter and Marie Gosc. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and two brothers, John and David.
Surviving are four siblings, Phillis Crill of Indy, Rosemary McCarthy of Granger, Paul Gosc of Buffalo Grove, Steve Gosc of South Bend; his daughter, Heather (Joshua) Gibson of South Bend and three grandchildren, Sabrina, Landen and Noah Gibson.
Joseph worked for AP Parts as a Fork Lift Driver before retiring in 2006. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the VFW post 1162 in Plymouth, IN. Joseph loved to volunteer his time to helping others around him and he did most of this work as a member of the Praise Fellowship SDA church, where he was baptized on February 19, 2011. He was an avid charitable donor to various organizations, including but not limited to, the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Humane Society and many more.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them to classic car shows, the zoo and eating breakfast at IHOP. He loved reading, helping others and anything to do with Studebaker cars or patriotic memorabilia.
A funeral service will be on Sat, Dec. 30 at 9:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
