Mr. March Harlan Warner of Annapolis, Md., died Dec. 21, 2017, at his home.

He was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two sons, a sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Warner was born in Riverton, W.Va., March 11, 1929, to Mr. Samuel Showalter Warner and Sally Teter Warner.

He attended the Hopewell School, Dolly School, and graduated from Circlesville High School. He graduated from Bridgewater College in 1951 and completed his master’s degree at the University of Virginia in 1961. Mr. Warner continued his education at Madison College, Washington and Lee University, U.Va.-Mountain Lake Biological Station, Wake Forest University, Western Michigan University, Radford University and the University of Maryland, completing credits beyond a Ph.D.

Mr. Warner was an educator for over 60 years. He accepted teaching assignments in Virginia at Blue Grass High School, Elkton High School, Shenandoah High School and Augusta Springs Elementary School. From 1961 until his retirement, he taught science in Maryland at Annapolis Senior High School.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Woodbine Cemetery in Harrisonburg, with Pastor John Swartz of the Mabel Memorial Chapel officiating.
