Ruby Irene Simmons, 91, of Toledo, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in her home surrounded by loving family. She was born September 6, 1926 in Monroe, MI to Linvel and Ida Mae (Lynch) Meyers. Ruby was a 1945 graduate of Monroe High School. Her places of employment included Cape Canaveral, FL, the Monroe County Courthouse, Lazy-Boy, and the Monroe Goodwill. She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed going to flea markets and finding antiques and collectibles. She also loved traveling and going on cruises with her family and friends.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Judi Stribling and Debra Renner; grandchildren, Stesha, Sheila, Albert "Bud", Andre, Eric, Duane, Daniella, and Robert; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorene (Wayne) Pope and Wanda Koch; and her beloved dog, "Sugar". She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Duane Venable; and siblings, Leon Meyers, Lueverna Meyers Drummonds, Linvel Meyers Jr., and Calvin Meyers.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home followed by interment in Roselawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
