Arnold A. Howard, 72, of Ooltewah, died Sunday at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and was a retired truck driver from ET/WNC Truck Lines. He was a Hamilton County Police Officer from 1958 to 1971.
Mr. Howard was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, where he received a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and one Silver Star.
