In honor of my Uncle Carl....

Carl Eugene Wolfe, 101, of Marion, NC, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Autumn Care of Marion.

Mr. Wolfe was born March 18, 1916 in Pleasant Hill, OH to the late Harvey Wolfe and Minnie Pearl Rudy Wolfe. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He attended First Christian Church and retired as Manager of Retail Sales for Sinclair Oil.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara B. Wolfe; his step-daughter, Pennie Weining; his son-in-law, Kenneth Miller; three brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Harold Wolfe; and two sisters, Mary Rice and Oleta Cawley.

Surviving Mr. Wolfe are his daughter, Cheryl Wolfe Miller of Marion, NC; two granddaughters, Jennifer Miller of Marion, NC and Carrie Markel and husband, Harold of Chicora, PA; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Caydence Brannon; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Hospice Chaplain Richard Anderson, Jack Smith and Kit Alverson; and a host of other friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2017 at First Christian Church with Pastor Don Mitchell and Hospice Chaplain Richard Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Care Partners Hospice & Palliative Care – McDowell, 575 Airport Rd., Marion, NC or First Christian Church, PO Box 1104,
Marion, NC 28752.
