Evelyn V. Bronowski, age 88, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in North Main Rehab. She was born July 6, 1919 the daughter of John and Cecelia Carlson in Rockford where she resided her entire life.
She attended school in Rockford. She married Chester Bronowski in July 1960 in Michigan. She was employed by Blackhawk Athletic Club as bartender for many years. She also was a member of Blackhawk Athletic Club and the Polish Falcons.
Survivors include: son, John (Sharon) Powixlaites; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Swanson; step-son, Ted (Dottie) Bronowski; grandchilren, Shari Liberty, John Powixlaites, Scott (Mary) Swanson, Vicki (Randy) Kearney, Terri (Mark) Johnson; ten great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by: parents; husband, Chester; and son, Richard Swanson.
Services on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Gasparini and Oliveri Funeral Home. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
