MR. T. S. KENDAL
After a protracted illness, the death occurred at Culcairn last Saturday night of Mr. Traton Stanley Kendal, at the age of 49 years. He is survived by a wife and three children— Nita (Mrs. Horsburgh, Melbourne), George and Stanley. During Mr. Kendal's sojourn of over 15 years at Culcairn as a guard in the railway service, residents learned to admire his cheerful and kindly disposition.

Mr. Kendal spent the early part of his career as a railway guard at Wagga until illness compelled him to live passively. He had taken an active part in the sporting life of Culcairn and was a loyal member of the Methodist Church, and in these spheres particularly he had many friends, who deeply regret his premature death.

The funeral took place on Monday morning, following a service in the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. C. M. Plumb, who also officiated at the graveside. The coffin was borne by Messrs. J. Bent. W. J. Roberts. J. E. Thompson (S.M.), E. Daley. F. M'Namara and E. Raufers.
