Christine Lynn Carlson, 65, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born September 16, 1951 in Rockford, the daughter of C. Raymond and Dorothy (Phillips) Carlson.
Christine was a graduate of Guilford High School, class of 1969 and University of Illinois at Chicago (College of Nursing) where she received her B.S. in Nursing Degree in 1973.
Chris also completed an advanced M.S. degree at the University of San Francisco. She most recently worked as a nurse at Stanford University.
She loved needle point, crocheting, reading Christian books, and teaching Adult Sunday School classes. Christine attended the Salvation Army Rockford Temple Corps.
She is survived by: mother, Dorothy Carlson; brothers, Dr. Tim P. (Jill) Carlson and Mark D. (Judy) Carlson; nephews, Jeff and Paul Carlson; and niece, Lisa Carlson.
She is predeceased by her father.
