Theodore L. Huberts, Sr., 86, of East Moline, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his home.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, IL, with Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Please arrive at the funeral home by 9:00 a.m. for procession to the Arsenal.
Theodore was born on August 19, 1930, in Chicago, IL, the son of Arnold and Clara (Rosehagen) Huberts. He married Carol T. Stedman on November 28, 1953. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2015.
Theodore was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church of East Moline. He was a Korean War veteran; and he served in the Army Reserves and Navy Reserves. Theodore sang with the Chordbusters. He enjoyed woodworking and talking with people, he didn't know a stranger. Theodore loved being with his family and will be sadly missed.
Theodore leaves to cherish his memories sons, Theodore (Bonnie) Huberts, Silvis, IL, Edwin Huberts, Springfield, MO, Steven Huberts, Oceanside, CA; daughters, Pamela (Frank) Spilman, Port Byron, IL, Amy Jo Huberts, Davenport, IA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
In lieu of flowers, live plants are suggested that you may take them with you after the service.
