Dan L. Anderson, 64, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away at 7:37 pm Saturday March 29, 2008 in St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1943 in Rockford, the son of H. Leroy and Bernice Bengtson Anderson.

Dan graduated in 1961 from East High School. He married Karen J. Sherman on September 2, 1972 in St. Anthony Church. Dan worked at National Lock and at Camcar Textron, in which he was plant manager for many years.

Dan’s passion was his family. His hobby was his cars and golf. Dan was a Veteran of the Marines, and a member of St. Anthony Church and the Lombardi Club.

Survivors include: wife, Karen; children, Shelby Anderson and Nick (Gina) Anderson; granddaughter, Gianna; sisters, Dee (James) Emery and Dorothy (Bruce) Lindblade.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday April 2, 2008 in St. Anthony Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
