Antonio H. Avendano Sr., 83, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Thursday August 23, 2007 in Rockford memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born June 26, 1924 in Queretaro, Mexico.
Antonio married Ella Medina in Rockford at St. Anthony Church on February 18, 1955. He worked for Nelson Knitting for many years, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of St Anthony Church, former usher, Holy name society, and The Hidalgo Club.
Survivors include: his wife, Ella; sons, Antonio Avendano Jr. and Joseph (Cindi) Avendano; daughter, Mary (Chuck) Kittoe; grandson, Adam Kittoe; niece, Elpidia (Alfredo) Angeles; grand niece, Cynthia Angeles.
Funeral mass on Monday August 27, 2007 in St Anthony church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
