Myrtle T. Deaver went to be with her Lord on June 21, 2017, at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 39 years, James W. Deaver, mother and father, Rachel and Harley Starling, and brother, H. Leslie Starling.
Myrtle loved the Lord and served him faithfully by ministering to many throughout her life. She always found dear friends at the churches she belonged to until she could no longer physically attend. Phone calls were her way to reach out and check on others during the last years of her life. The family would like to thank those who reached out and gave her comfort in her last years. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
She is lovingly remembered by daughters Susan D. Bastak and husband Chuck, of Williston, FL and Jamie D. Ziegler and husband Steve, of Chandler, AZ, two grandchildren, Ashleigh Sexton and husband Tommie, of Oakland, CA and Adam Bastak and wife Aileen, of Gainesville, FL, and two great granddaughters Nova Carina and Zinnia Mae Sexton. Her sister Mildred T Kinard, and four nieces Donna Rice, Barbara Harpe, Leslie Gail Vinbladh, and Carla Reynolds, and niece Gail Jernigan and husband Jerrel and nephew Cliff Fiveash and wife Colleen.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. She will be laid to rest by her husband at Christ Church on St. Simons Island, GA.
